Preview: Essex Tech Hawks vs. Northeast Metro RVT Knights
Essex Tech is 2-7 against Northeast Metro RVT since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on November 23rd. After each having a week off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Essex Tech is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Essex Tech was beaten by Bay Path RVT 53-8. Essex Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-0.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Northeast Metro RVT, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whittier RVT.
Although Northeast Metro RVT took the loss, they still got scores from Devin Nieves and Sam Lacombe.
The losses dropped Essex Tech to 2-8 and Northeast Metro RVT to 4-6.
Essex Tech beat Northeast Metro RVT 27-18 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Essex Tech since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
