Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Baker Mountaineers vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

Mt. Baker hasn't had much luck against Lynden Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mt. Baker Mountaineers will venture away from home to challenge the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mt. Baker took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Blaine by a score of 43-35.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lynden Christian). They claimed a resounding 85-33 win over Lakewood. The victory continues a trend for the Lyncs in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won seven in a row.

Lynden Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Mt. Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Mt. Baker was taken down by Lynden Christian 74-16 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Mt. Baker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
