Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Gets the Win

Berea-Midpark won the last time they faced Midview, and Nick Reece did his part to make sure it happened again. The Berea-Midpark Titans claimed a resounding 77-38 victory over the Midview Middies thanks in part to Reece, who went 9 of 15 en route to 23 points along with eight boards and seven assists. The contest was his 12th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Braaten, who posted nine points in addition to five steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Brady Newton, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Brennen Newton was another key player, putting up five points.

Berea-Midpark's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Midview, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea-Midpark will welcome Avon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Berea-Midpark's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Midview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Ridgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midview is facing North Ridgeville at the right time seeing as North Ridgeville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
