Baseball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Culpeper County Blue Devils.

Ja'Lynn Thomas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Ditmore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Culpeper County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Pine Forest and Culpeper County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Trojans see the field they'll take on Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Culpeper County, their break will end when they face Caroline at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
