Baseball Recap: Perham Yellowjackets vs. Frazee Hornets
In Thursday's second game, Perham never let their opponents score. They blew past the Frazee Hornets 9-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Perham.
Ashton Detloff made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Detloff was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Joey Ecker looked comfortable as he tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks).
Back at the plate, Alex Blume was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Gage Aanenson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run.
Perham pushed their record up to 2-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Frazee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Perham will head out on the road to square off against Lourdes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frazee, they will be playing at home against Menahga at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
