Baseball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Starts Season with Victory Against Bandys

Pine Lake Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bandys Trojans with a sharp 11-3 win. This was payback for the Pride, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jeter Bynum looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in hits (zero).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Brandt, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Tripp Tammaro was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Pine Lake Prep lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Coming up, Pine Lake Prep will face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bandys, they will take on East Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
