Baseball Game Preview: Strasburg-Franklin Tigers vs. Coshocton Redskins

The Strasburg-Franklin Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Coshocton Redskins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Strasburg-Franklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Strasburg-Franklin came out on top against Ridgewood on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Generals a 5-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The result came thanks to Brody Baughmam's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Strasburg-Franklin is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Strasburg-Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Keffer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Coshocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 10-6 to John Glenn.

Coshocton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Strasburg-Franklin, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Strasburg-Franklin beat Coshocton 3-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
