After flying high against Eastside on Friday, Lakeland came back down to earth. The Lakeland Lakers fell to the Fort Wayne North Side Legends 62-56. The Lakers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lakeland lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Justin Carlson, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Keyan Arroyo, who put up six points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne North Side to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sebastian Moore, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Woods, who had nine points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Lakeland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centreville at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Fort Wayne North Side, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mishawaka at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Wayne North Side is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
