Softball Recap: Sunlake Takes a Loss

Sunlake was the 3-0 winner over Clearwater when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Seahawks took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tornadoes on Monday.

Analese Lacquey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sunlake's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Clearwater, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Sunlake and Clearwater will both be playing Gulf the next time they take the field. The Seahawks will host the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tornadoes will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
