Westfield has gone 8-2 against Cassadaga Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolverines will take on the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Cassadaga Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Westfield, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Westfield and Frewsburg, and Westfield kept the tradition alive. The Wolverines walked away with a 9-6 win over the Bears on Monday.

Eva Gnadzinski was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Gnadzinski was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Sydney Hotchkiss was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reagan Weingart, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chautauqua Lake hit Cassadaga Valley with a 13-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-1. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Cassadaga Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Westfield back to even at 3-3. As for Cassadaga Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Everything went Westfield's way against Cassadaga Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Westfield made off with a 17-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
