Clinton County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt McCreary Central on Thursday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 16-6 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Tucker Casada made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Clinton County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 11-12 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Caleb Thrasher was incredible, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Matt Duvall was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Clinton County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCreary Central only managed six hits.

Clinton County's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for McCreary Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.

Clinton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McCreary Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Barbourville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
