Basketball Game Preview: Jupiter Christian Eagles vs. St. John Paul II Academy Eagles

The Jupiter Christian Eagles will head out to take on the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles on Wednesday.

Jupiter Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Benjamin just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 70-50 to the Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 57-46. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Warriors are ranked 77th).

St. John Paul II Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Jupiter Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Jupiter Christian took their victory against St. John Paul II Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 59-39. Will Jupiter Christian repeat their success, or does St. John Paul II Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
