Softball Recap: Hunt Comes Up Short

Hunt's last matchup with South Johnston could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. Hunt came up short against South Johnston, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Hunt's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for South Johnston, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hunt is set to face off against their familiar foe West Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Johnston will challenge rival East Wake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (South Johnston 2.9, East Wake 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
