Baseball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Miller City Wildcats

The Patrick Henry Patriots will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Miller City Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Patrick Henry is leaving town to face Miller City after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Patrick Henry took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Otsego on Saturday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mack Hieber was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Hieber wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grant Schwab, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Miller City beat Edgerton 10-5 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Patrick Henry took their victory against Miller City in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patrick Henry since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
