Volleyball Recap: Chambersburg Comes Up Short

Chambersburg was the 3-2 winner over Wilson when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Chambersburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-16, 25-10, 25-21.

Kasey Moser paced Chambersburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Moser got some help from Ava Zeigler and her 24 assists. Moser was also a major player on defense: she and Nizaya Hawkins shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Chambersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Wilson, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Chambersburg will challenge Mechanicsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson, they will square off against Muhlenberg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
