Softball Recap: Big Bear Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cathedral City on Monday, Big Bear came back down to earth. The Bears lost 22-13 to the Hesperia Christian Patriots on Wednesday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Jordan Gilligan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Jasmin Gallegos, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Big Bear's loss dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Hesperia Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-7-1.

As of now, neither Big Bear nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
