Basketball Game Preview: Newton Local Indians vs. National Trail Blazers

The Newton Local Indians will head out to face off against the National Trail Blazers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Newton Local is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Newton Local didn't have quite enough to beat Covington and fell 40-37.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for National Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Miami Valley out 49-46.

National Trail's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Newton Local, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Newton Local took their win against National Trail when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 59-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newton Local since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
