Football Recap: Monument Mountain Takes a Loss

Monument Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belchertown Orioles.

Monument Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Belchertown, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monument Mountain will take on rival McCann Tech at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th. Meanwhile, Belchertown is set to face off against their familiar foe Smith Vo-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Orioles 14.5, the Vikings 14.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
