Softball Recap: Jackson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Jackson has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Hillsboro Indians, falling 15-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Ironman/Ironladies have suffered since April 20, 2024.

KJ Worsham and Lillie Eberts did some serious damage despite the final result: Worsham went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Eberts scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Daycee Howard also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Jackson's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Hillsboro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Jackson will take on Fairland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will head out to face off against Logan Elm at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
