Basketball Game Preview: Allen Eagles vs. Rock Hill Blue Hawks

Allen has gone 5-0 against Rock Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Allen Eagles will take on the Rock Hill Blue Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Allen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 matchups -- so hopefully Rock Hill likes a good challenge.

Allen is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Plano East, who was ranked 11th at the time (Allen was ranked first). Allen can attribute much of their success to Deandre Thomas, who went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Antonio Shannon, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points and four steals. Those 20 points gave Thomas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Khalil Walker, who posted 12 points.

Allen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill lost to McKinney at home by a 63-44 margin on Tuesday. The Blue Hawks have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Allen pushed their record up to 28-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.8 points per game. As for Rock Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

Allen took their win against Rock Hill in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 75-54. In that match, Allen amassed a halftime lead of 43-21, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
