Basketball Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer entered their tilt with Sterling on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 46-42 win over the Sterling Jets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Sterling's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Wambold, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. The contest was Wambold's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Owen Uher, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Sterling, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

After both having extra time off, Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer and Pawnee City will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Sterling, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southern on January 24th.
