Volleyball Recap: JC Bermudez Doral Takes a Loss

JC Bermudez Doral lost against Northwestern back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunder fell just short of the Bulls by a score of 3-2. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, JC Bermudez Doral sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 18-25, 26-24, 16-25, 15-12.

Northwestern had a senior duo take command as Da'Nay Murray had ten aces and one block and Jaiel Langston had eight aces and six assists. Murray also set a new season-high mark in assists with 18.

JC Bermudez Doral's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Northwestern, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

JC Bermudez Doral has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dr. Krop on the 16th. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Booker T. Washington on the 16th.
