Madison is a perfect 3-0 against Jennings County since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cubs will head out to face off against the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. Madison's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Jennings County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Madison and Silver Creek meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Cubs fell 5-1 to the Dragons.

Scottsburg hit Jennings County with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4.

Ethan Speer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Jennings County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.

Madison beat Jennings County 8-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
