Basketball Game Preview: Chula Vista Spartans vs. High Tech CV Bruins

The Chula Vista Spartans and the High Tech CV Bruins will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

High Tech CV is hoping to do what Mar Vista couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Chula Vista's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Chula Vista escaped with a win against Mar Vista by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65. While the Spartans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, High Tech CV ended up a good deal behind Clairemont on Tuesday and lost 81-64.

Chula Vista pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for High Tech CV, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
