Softball Recap: Nolan Catholic Takes a Loss

Nolan Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parish Episcopal Panthers. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Leah Granados spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Eva Hons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Nolan Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Parish Episcopal, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Parish Episcopal will be playing at home against Hockaday at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nolan Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' game: after the Panthers faces off against the Daisies, they'll take on Nolan Catholic again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
