Soccer Recap: Copper Canyon Gets the Win

Copper Canyon won the last time they faced La Joya Community and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Copper Canyon Aztecs walked away with a 3-1 win over the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos. Samuel HUaracha had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Aztecs got from the refs.

Copper Canyon hit La Joya Community with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonathan Hernandez Ramirez, Alonso Noriega, and Francisco Garcia.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-4-4. As for La Joya Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-2.

Copper Canyon will challenge North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for La Joya Community, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Verrado on the 23rd.
