Volleyball Game Preview: Carlsbad Lancers vs. Westview Wolverines + Official Tickets

The Carlsbad Lancers will face off against the Westview Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carlsbad hadn't beaten San Dieguito Academy on the road since October 25, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Lancers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1.

Carlsbad was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Rancho Bernardo on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won seven in a row.

Westview never let Rancho Bernardo on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24, 25-16.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Carlsbad, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
