Basketball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Skates Past Pinson Valley with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clay-Chalkville walked away with it. They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 53-26 win over the Pinson Valley Indians. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Indians are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clay-Chalkville's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Pinson Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.

Clay-Chalkville will venture away from home to challenge Gardendale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinson Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
