Two dominant signal callers in Rodrigo Martinez and Carlos Rojas III are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ysleta Indians will be playing at home against the Riverside Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ysleta comes in on eight and Riverside on six.
On Thursday, Ysleta made easy work of Irvin and carried off a 42-21 win. Considering the Indians have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Silas Thomas
| 10/23/25 @ Irvin | 4 |
| 09/19/25 @ Mountain View | 2 |
| 10/10/25 @ Fabens | 1 |
| 08/29/25 vs Parkland | 1 |
Silas Thomas had a dynamite game, picking up 127 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Those four receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Ysleta also got help from Richard Thomas, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Riverside posted their closest victory since September 13, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Austin 27-24. The score was all tied up 10-10 at the break, but the Rangers were the better team in the second half.
Ysleta better keep an eye on Derek Armendariz. He was instrumental in Riverside's win, rushing for 135 yards on only 12 carries.
Riverside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards in 11 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Ysleta's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Ysleta has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 306.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Ysleta came up short against Riverside in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 24-20. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rojas III, who rushed for 228 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Now that the Indians know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
