Basketball Game Preview: Green Tech Eagles vs. Albany Academy for Boys Cadets

Green Tech hasn't had much luck against Albany Academy for Boys recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Green Tech Eagles will face off against the Albany Academy for Boys Cadets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Green Tech had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over Niagara Falls on Friday. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.

Green Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was U'Mier Graham out in front who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Graham is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramere Brown, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 19 points.

Meanwhile, Albany Academy for Boys put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 61-52 win over Potomac School.

Things could have been worse for Green Tech, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-51 loss to Albany Academy for Boys in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Green Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
