It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Nathan Hale Raiders. The victory was some much needed relief for Roosevelt as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tommy Stapleton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Easton Newell relieved him and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Nathan Han was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Nathan Hale, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
