Basketball Game Preview: Dollar Bay Bays vs. Jeffers Jets

Dollar Bay is 2-8 against Jeffers since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Dollar Bay Bays will head out on the road to square off against the Jeffers Jets at 7:00 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-13, which was the final score in Dollar Bay's tilt against Ewen-Trout Creek on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Panthers are ranked 89th).

Laila Bell was Dollar Bay's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kiera Isaacson held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Jeffers against Johnston on Tuesday as the team secured a 61-18 win.

Jeffers pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Dollar Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Dollar Bay lost to Jeffers on the road by a decisive 52-38 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Dollar Bay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
