Baseball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Duplin Rebels, falling 21-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 back in March.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for North Duplin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Union will welcome Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Duplin, they are taking a road trip to take on Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
