Basketball Recap: Tri County Northeast Skates Past Homer with Ease

Tri County Northeast won the last time they faced Homer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack took their game with ease, bagging a 61-29 victory over the Homer Knights. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

Tri County Northeast found their leader in sophomore Landyn Servine, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Servine has scored all season. Jaxon Hall was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Homer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leidy Hunter, who posted seven points and five boards. Dawson Kollars also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Tri County Northeast's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Homer, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Tri County Northeast has already played their next contest, a 78-31 defeat against Wausa on the 23rd. As for Homer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-43 loss against Omaha Nation on the 24th.
