A&M Consolidated took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Brenham, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Cubs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since February 21st.

A&M Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Brenham, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
