Preview: Riverside Warriors vs. Princeton Tigers

Riverside is 0-4 against Princeton since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Riverside Warriors will be playing at home against the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Riverside is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Riverside was beaten by Parkersburg 83-37. While losing is never fun, Riverside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Parkersburg is ranked fifth).

Riverside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Laila Campbell, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds, and Ava Ward who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Campbell has scored all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Princeton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 66-51 bruising from Greenbrier East.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Abbey Honaker, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Stull, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Riverside has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Riverside might still be hurting after the 55-34 defeat they got from Princeton when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Riverside have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
