Basketball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Find Success

Sylvan-Lucas won the last time they faced Pike Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs came out on top against the Pike Valley Panthers by a score of 57-44.

Pike Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrew Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Cooper is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Braxton Patterson was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Sylvan-Lucas' record is now 2-4. As for Pike Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylvan-Lucas will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Solomon at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pike Valley also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Peabody-Burns at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
