Solorio hasn't had much luck against Simeon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sun Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Solorio is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Solorio's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Chicago Washington. The Sun Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Robert DeMateo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Solorio is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. DeMateo was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Josiah Saucedo was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaydiel Salgado, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Solorio was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Simeon fell victim to St. Laurence and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.
Simeon's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Solorio, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 5-3.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Solorio has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .487. However, it's not like Simeon struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Solorio might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from Simeon in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Sun Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
