Meanwhile, Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Sycamore, falling 81-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since December 20, 2024.

Jo Byrns' win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Montgomery Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Jo Byrns didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Montgomery Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jo Byrns since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
