With a playoff win on the line, Somerset Berkley Regional rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the South Colonels. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Somerset Berkley Regional took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-11, 25-15.

Brown wasn't the only good servers: Somerset Berkley Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

Somerset Berkley Regional's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Somerset Berkley Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wayland on the 1st. South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
