Mundelein is a perfect 10-0 against Lake Forest since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will host the Scouts at 4:45 p.m. Mundelein is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Mundelein made easy work of Waukegan and carried off a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Mundelein got a massive performance out of Kieley Tomas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Emily Courtney, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Mundelein always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April.

Meanwhile, Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against Libertyville, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Scouts' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lake Forest's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Mundelein, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Lake Forest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mundelein has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for Lake Forest, though, as they've only averaged .317. Will they be able to contain Mundelein's hitters?

Everything went Mundelein's way against Lake Forest in their previous meeting back in April, as Mundelein made off with an 18-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Scouts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
