Baseball Recap: Phillips Academy Wins Going Away Against Cushing Academy

The third road matchup was the charm for Phillips Academy, as they earned their first away win of the season. They put the hurt on the Cushing Academy Penguins with a sharp 10-1 victory on Wednesday. This was payback for the Big Blue, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Michael Gilligan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Gallo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Phillips Academy picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Cushing Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
