Basketball Game Preview: Argos Dragons vs. Caston Comets

Argos is 7-2 against Caston since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Argos Dragons will head out to face off against the Caston Comets at 7:30 p.m. Argos is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Argos is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Triton on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Argos was dealt a 70-43 loss at the hands of Triton. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while the Trojans are ranked 191st).

Argos' defeat came about despite a quality game from Luke Stults, who posted 19 points and eight boards. The game was Stults' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Kenyan Beldon was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Caston ended up a good deal behind Triton on Saturday and lost 46-28. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Argos' defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Caston, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Argos and Caston were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but Argos came up empty-handed after a 45-44 defeat. Can Argos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
