Football Recap: Gardner Comes Up Short

If Gardner was feeling good fresh off their 42-12 takedown of Assabet Valley RVT last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 42-22 to the Oakmont Regional Spartans on Friday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Dom Jamison threw for 225 yards and one touchdown.

Gardner's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Oakmont Regional, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Gardner and Quabbin Regional will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Oakmont Regional, they will take on Lunenburg at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
