Panguitch extends home winning streak to five

Recap: Panguitch Bobcats vs. Piute Thunderbirds
The Panguitch Bobcats waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Piute with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. That's another feather in the cap for Panguitch, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Panguitch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daxton Miller out in front who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cache Eyre, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Panguitch's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Piute, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panguitch will challenge Escalante at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Piute, they will head out on the road to square off against Bryce Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
