Softball Recap: Winnsboro Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Como-Pickton, Winnsboro was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Alba-Golden Panthers. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 17-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Winnsboro pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Alba-Golden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Winnsboro will challenge Rains at 6:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Alba-Golden, they will take on Jacksonville at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday.
