Softball Recap: Menendez Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Menendez was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Palatka Panthers, falling 11-2. The Falcons have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Rylan Degrande was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Meghan Dawson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Menendez fell to 2-1. As for Palatka, their record is now 3-1.

Coming up, Menendez will square off against New Smyrna Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palatka, they will take on Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th.
