Georgia preseason high school boys basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard

1. Wheeler (Marietta)
2015-16 record: 22-6
Head coach: Doug Lipscomb

The Wildcats were national title contenders two years ago and might be right back in the mix thanks to a slew of talented newcomers. Louisville pledge Darius Perry (6-1, Sr., G) is joined by transfers Jordan Tucker (6-7, Sr., G/F), USC verbal commit Jordan Usher (6-6, Sr., G/F) and Auburn commit E.J. Montgomery (6-10, Jr., F/C).

2. Greenforest (Decatur)
2015-16 record: 30-2
Head coach: Larry Thompson

The defending Class A state champions will be heavily favored to repeat. Leading scorer Justin Forrest (6-2, Sr., G) is back along with an imposing frontcourt that includes Ikey Obiagu (7-0, Sr., C), Abayomi Iyiola (6-10, Sr., C), Mohammed Abdulsalem (6-9, Jr., F/C) and Victor Enoh (6-8, Sr., F). The Eagles will play three other Fab 5 teams before mid-December.

3. Pebblebrook (Mableton)
2015-16 record: 23-10
Head coach: George Washington

Though there is a very talented supporting cast, the buzz at the ‘Brook is all about Collin Sexton. The 6-foot-2 senior guard averaged 28.3 points per game a year ago for the Falcons and then won a gold medal over the summer with USA Basketball.

4. Westlake (Atlanta)
2015-16 record: 27-4
Head coach: Darron Rogers

Checking in at No. 4, the defending AAAAAA state champs must have lost quite a bit from a year ago – right? Well, not really, it's just that the three ahead of them on this list added so much in the offseason. Back from last year's championship run are Auburn pledge Chuma Okeke (6-7, Sr., F), All-State pick James Lewis (6-3, Jr., G) and talented wing Daniel Lewis (6-5, Sr., G).

The Blue Devils put together a 13-game win streak toward the end of last season and hope to carry that momentum into 2016-17. Leading the way will be senior forwards Lance Thomas (6-9) and Rayshaun Hammonds (6-8). McMillan will put his team to the test in December at the City of Palms Classic – arguably the nation's top tournament.
