After a string of five wins, Mooresville's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the A.L. Brown Wonders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wonders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mooresville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 13-25, 15-12.

Mooresville's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for A.L. Brown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, A.L. Brown will take on Central Davidson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mooresville will be paying especially close attention to the Wonders' matchup: after the Wonders faces off against Woodlawn, they'll take on Mooresville again at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
