Basketball Recap: GV Christian Takes a Loss

GV Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Upland Highlanders/Scots, falling 64-32. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Guardians came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 84th in Nevada, while the Highlanders/Scots are ranked 490th in California).

GV Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Thomas Pulcini, who posted eight points and ten boards.

GV Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Upland, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

GV Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-50 victory against Pinecrest Academy Cadence on the 3rd. As for Upland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-22 win against Waterford on the 3rd.
